They only get 2 starts because I like my Primary Care Doctor. But my recent experience and now financial burden due to the unhelpful staff would earn a zero. I called on Monday to make an appointment with my doctor regarding abdominal pain. I was told my doctor was out for the next 2 weeks. I asked if any other doctors could see me, and was told "You can go to Urgent Care or the ER." I did not want to go to the ER or Urgent Care, but as the staff seemed only interested in getting me off the phone, I gave up and ended the call. I later decided to go in to Urgent Care. The nurse who brought me back was more interested in conversation with coworkers than in me. When I finally saw a doctor, nothing was prescribed for the discomfort, just lab work done. I was told they would call me - my only call was the next day to say they were waiting for results to come in but see nothing so far. I waited three more days for a call that never came. I had to call to get results and even then was told I had to wait for the doctor who saw me Monday to be back in the office Saturday to talk about results with me. I asked again for an appointment with my regular doctor and couldn't get in for 2 more weeks. I made the appointment anyway and had to ask to be put on a wait list for earlier appointments, it was not offered to me.I called again Saturday to talk to the doctor, was brushed off again and told the doctor would call me. Then I was called by a nurse or rep who just said they found nothing and offered no further advice except go to the ER. I was still in pain and finally gave in and went to the ER as no one seemed willing to help me find an appointment with another doctor. Inwas prescribed pain meds at the ER and told to follow up with a Primary Care Doctor in two days. I called to make a follow up appointment and explained the ER said to follow up in 2 days, but the earliest they could get me in was over a week later. Again, I had to ask to be put on a wait list, it was not offered. Clearly no one was concerned for my symptoms or my getting timely care. I now have an unnecessary ER bill for over 1700$ that would have been covered by insurance if they had just gotten me an appointment with a Primary Care Doctor. But I was brushed off and pushed to go to the ER. Even a nurse at the ER said the whole thing sounded "shady" and that there should have been a doctor covering patients for my doctor while she was out. I will be writing complaint letters to the Clinic, and if not for my Primary Care Doctor being a caring, good doctor, I would not go to the Clayton facility anymore. I cannot understand why patients should be pressured to go to the ER rather than fit them in for an appointment. It makes me feel like the facility is more interested in getting as much money as they can rather than giving quality care. I'm so upset and disappointed. I'm always going to feel uncomfortable going in to this facility now. The only person I feel is trustworthy and cares is my doctor and I cannot believe how incredibly difficult it was for me to get help because my doctor was unavailable. And now I have this huge financial burden that I would not have if they had made any effort at all to get me an appointment. This is extra anxiety and cost that could have been avoided.
****** If I could give this clinic a zero I would.***** This clinic advertise for new patients when they reopened their new Clayton office. So we make an appointment for 2 months out because if your a new patient the doctors can only see 2 new patients a day. So it pushed it out that far. We showed up for the appointment and there's no record of an appointment. Now the next available appointment for my insurance is Nov 2017. Waste of time transferring to this clinic. Don't bother if your trying to get into this clinic. This is by far the worst customer service ever!!!!!
Thankfully I haven't been to many urgent care facilities, but I have been to a few for either my family or myself, and I've always dreaded going. This was by far the best experience I've had. In the future if I ever have a need to go to an urgent care, this will be the only place I'll go.
Giving this place one star is more than they deserve at this point! Zero stars would be adequate. My father has been a patient here for over a year now, prior to this incident he has not had any issues. However, this past Friday he called in to have his prescription refilled as he was asked to do. When he showed up three hours later they proceeded to tell him that his prescription was not ready and they would not be able to do it that day, which was okay. We understand there is a 48 hour policy. Even though he was out of medication for the entire weekend, we waited. Then, it came to Monday, waited.. NO CALL. So, today we called and they proceeded to tell us they would have to ask the provider. We waited all day until 4pm and called back since we did not have an answer. THEN when we spoke to a second lady and she proceeded to tell us there was no way they could do it because his provider was not in today. This place is clearly unorganized. I work in a doctor's office and I will be damned if ANY of my patient's went without there medication for almost a week. This is absolutely without a doubt NEGLECT of the patient. If this does not get straightened out by tomorrow we will most certainly find a new facility. UNACCEPTABLE.
Very unorganized . My mother called her nurse due to pain and 25 minutes later we had to go get someone to assist her. The response we were given was that they were waiting on the doctor , but there were Registered Nurses that could have came to check on her. I do not recommend this place.
