If we had an Ingles in our town, it would be our choice for grocery shopping; but since we don't, they are #1 whenever we encounter them. Their stores are brightly lighted, clean, have great produce, deli and bakery departments, clean restrooms and good prices. Wish they'd just move a little further South.
Clean, wonderful variety, helpful staff. Moderate to Moderate-plus pricing (in general). More organics would be good, but I go in with a prepared list of what I need specifically from them.
Bright, clean, well-stocked and awesome. That's how I would describe Ingle's. There's plenty of Italian ingredients and it's great to see Delallo products to be found around the store.
As a new local, I've discovered that this is the meeting place for anyone who is anybody. The friendly, down home atmosphere is a draw, and the service, and availability of items is the clincher. Love their Video dept., and the fresh veggies!
The staff is knowledgeable and eager to help with finding items within the store (the Gravel Springs Ingle's workers weren't quite as helpful).
Great grocery store...and if you happen to be looking for gluten free items, the choices are the best I've ever seen and well marked on the shelves. Highest recommendation.
